Facets of HEARTH

HEARTH Therapy Studios integrates a variety of therapeutic methods and comprehensive creative and expressive learning initiatives, all rooted in trauma-informed, inclusive, and person-centred practice. Each aspect has developed from over thirty years of broad and varied experience supporting children, young people, adults, and families across educational, community, mental health, and specialised settings, including youth justice and complex care environments.

At the heart of HEARTH’s philosophy is an integration of creative, reflective, and evidence-based approaches that nurture learning, understanding, and connection across both therapeutic and educational environments. HEARTH values identity, creativity, and embodiment, engaging participants through art, movement, creative expression and relational reflection to explore aspects of the self that often remain unspoken, hidden, or unrecognised. By integrating psychotherapeutic principles, HEARTH provides a safe space for individuals to process their experiences, deepen their awareness, and build inner coherence and self-trust.

Drawing on over three decades of diverse and inclusive practice, HEARTH Therapy Studios offers art psychotherapy, tailored learning opportunities, professional development, capacity building, and supervision and reflective practice. With a deep commitment to recognising and honouring the whole person, HEARTH supports individuals in living and learning with authenticity and wholeness throughout all stages of life, promoting integration, belonging, and genuine self-expression within a safe, secure, and affirming environment where everyone is valued and accepted.
